4 keys sales presentation

No matter what type of business you’re in, at some point you will need to do a sales presentation. The outcome of that presentation will be determined by how well you deliver each element of the presentation.

I am a firm believer that a presentation with soul and authenticity will practically guarantee sure fire success.  So what does that mean? Simply put, when you connect with the audience and act as a conduit for providing valuable information, the process flows very smoothly.

As you grow your business, perhaps you’ll want to get in front of potential partners or sponsors and you must be able to deliver a stellar sales presentation. Let’s say you finally get the decision maker(s) to agree to meet with you. Awesome! Now what? All you have to do at this point is deliver a stellar sales presentation and seal the deal. The only problem is you may not have any idea how to do this. Whether you’re meeting with one person or a group of people, the keys to delivering a great sales presentation are the same. Below I will highlight four key tips for engaging the audience and closing the sale.

  1. Use a Personal Tone

Sometimes it is very tricky to connect on a personal level when you are addressing a group or more than one person. However, you must speak to the entire audience but give your presentation as though you were only trying to convince one person. Try to imagine that you’re in an intimate meeting with just one person that you must persuade. Your tone should be comfortable, relatable and believable.

  1. Engage the audience

The best presentations are when there is a healthy balance of interaction between the presenter and the audience. Many presenters encourage audience participation throughout their presentation by asking questions and encouraging feedback. The key is getting the audience to agree as you go through the presentation and buy-in to what is being shared, this makes it much easier at the end of the presentation to close the sale.

  1. Show and Tell

With any presentation, it helps to have components of your presentation that you can demonstrate for the visual affect. Whether it’s a video or actual prop of some sort make sure it is compelling and tells a story that will tie in with whatever you’re selling. The key is to make the audience interested and involved in your presentation.

  1. Use imagery over text on presentation slides

One of the most important aspects of a sales presentation is holding the attention of the audience. Using too much text in your presentation slides will make the audience check out and possibly lose interest in the entire presentation. Make sure that your presentation slides are eye catching and have large fonts and bold photos that capture attention.
